Spartans Handle Bobcats

Giles-Spartans-logoGiles jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, as the Spartans cruised to a 57-39 Three Rivers District girls' basketball win over host Radford Thursday night.

The Spartans (6-11, 3-4 TRD) staked out to a 13-9 lead after the initial quarter and increased their advantage to 32-20 at the half. Giles methodically pulled away in the second half to come away with the 18-point road win.

Lyndsey Jackson led Giles with a game-high 31 points and Megan Fisher finished with 13 points.

Riley Harvey and Jada Penn paced Radford (6-12, 4-3 TRD) with nine points apiece.
