SALEM - Glenvar had scored 29 runs in their previous two games prior to facing James River in the Region C semi-finals. Now, the count is 43. The Highlanders rolled past non-district rival James River 14-4 on their way to a fifth consecutive state playoff berth Thursday night.

In a slugfest, which saw both teams combine for 29 runs and 27 hits, Glenvar would score the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning, as they outlasted Radford, 15-14 in the championship game of the Three Rivers District baseball tournament Saturday afternoon at Salem's Kiwanis Field.

A hit batter and an RBI single by Garrett Clay allowed Glenvar to score two runs in the bottom of the sixth innning, as they took an 8-6 win over Auburn, in the semifinals of the Three Rivers District baseball tournament Thursday evening at Salem's Kiwanis Field.
