Glenvar extended its season, as they defeated Eastern Montgomery 25-7, 25-15 and 25-19 in the opening round of the Three Rivers District volleyball tournament Monday night in Salem.

The Highlanders (13-8) now meets Radford at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the semifinals at Glenvar High School.

Alex Boitnott led Glenvar with eight kills, eight digs and five aces. Lexie Trinchere, who was promoted from the JV team, recorded 15 assists and five aces.

The Mustangs ended their season with a 2-17 mark.
