After falling behind early, Glenvar roared back to claim a 70-48 Three Rivers District boys' basketball win over Giles Wednesday in Pearisburg.
The Spartans (3-13, 0-6 TRD) staked out to a slim 15-13 lead after the initial quarter. The Highlanders (14-6, 6-2 TRD) marched back in the second quarter to take a 29-23 halftime advantage. Glenvar outscored Giles 22-11 in the third quarter and 19-14 in the fourth quarter to claim the 22-point road win.
Tyler Crockett and Chris Hodges led Glenvar with 16 points each. Karlyn East scored 13 points.
Dylan Raymond paced Giles with 12 points, while Kyle Chafin and Tyler Collins tossed in 10 apiece.
