radford-logoRadford opened its Three Rivers District schedule with an easy 8-0 girls' soccer win over visiting Giles Monday evening.

Freshman Jada Penn, who was starting her varsity game, led the Bobcats (2-5-1, 1-0 TRD) with two goals. Lindsi Sparks, Sara Davis, Lexi Denny, Jordie Woods, Sadie Rose and first-year player Hannah-Kait Facemire added a goal apiece.

Carly Mannon tallied two assists for Radford.

"The score was 8-0, but Giles is greatly improved with their new coach," said Radford head coach Darryl Gillespie. "This was a good start to district play."

Giles fell to 2-7-0 overall and 0-2 in the district.
