The Bobcats scored three second-half goals, as they defeated the Highlanders, 3-1, in the championship match of the Region C girls soccer tournament Thursday night at George Wythe High School in Wytheville.

Radford will host John Battle, the Region D runner-up. next Tuesday evening in the Group A state quarterfinals, while Glenvar will travel to Gate City, the Region D champion, on the same day.

The Highlanders would take a 1-0 lead in the opening half, when Kayla Ellis scored in the 18th minute.

Lexi Denny would score all three Bobcats' goals in the second half, including two in the final three minutes, to give Radford the 3-1 victory.
