Radford turned it up after the opening quarter, as the Bobcats cruised to a 65-37 Three Rivers District girls' basketball win over Eastern Montgomery Thursday night in Radford.
With the game tied at 9-all after the first quarter, the Bobcats (5-11, 3-2 TRD) went on a 24-9 run in the second quarter to pull out to a 33-18 lead at the half. Radford outscored the Mustangs (2-15, 0-6 TRD) 17-2 in the third quarter to take a commanding 50-20 advantage into the final quarter. East Mont outscored the Cats 17-6 in the fourth quarter. However, it was a case of too little, too late, as Radford clai8med the 19-point win in front of the Bobcat faithful.
Danielle Simpkins recorded a double-double for East Mont with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Sarah Simpkins finished with 12 points.
Riley Harvey led Radford with a game-high 16 points, including four 3 -pointers. Hannah-Kait Facemire and Madeline Marshall tossed in 11 points apiece.
