Eastern Montgomery and Radford High Schools, both members of the Three Rivers District, were just two of the 20 high schools that have been awarded the 2010 Claudia Dodson VHSL Sportsmanship, Ethics and Integrity Award presented by Wachovia, which recognizes member schools that have established policies and procedures that make sportsmanship a priority and an expectation within the school and school community.

Radford's Maryah Sydnor was named the Player of the Year and Alan Cantrell of Floyd County was selected the Coach of the Year, for the 2009-10 All-Three Rivers District girls basketball team. Both Radford and Floyd County landed two players on the first team, while Glenvar had one player selected.
