Despite not scoring a single point in the third quarter, Dayspring Christian Academy managed to pull out a 39-37 girls basketball win over Parkway Christian Academy in girls basketball action Tuesday night in Blacksburg.
Parkway, which led 23-19 at the half, would outscore Dayspring 8-0 in the third quarter to increase its lead to 31-19. However, the Lions would roar back in the fourth quarter, as they outscored Parway 20-6 in the final quarter to earn the victory.
Anna Dixon and Julianna Heaton led Parkway with eight points each.
Kathryn Shorter led Dayspring with a game-high 14 points and Michele Shrader added 10 points.
