Dug Hampton earned his 400th career-win, as Dayspring Christian Academy claimed a 64-47 non-district boys basketball win over Giles Monday night in Pearisburg.
The Lions roared out to a 24-12 first quarter lead and extended their advantage to 41-19 at the break. Dayspring continued to control the tempo throughout the second half in claiming the road win.
Andrew Lucas led Dayspring with 28 points. Michael Ribbens and TJ Wagnon finished with 10 points each.
Cody Vaught led Giles (0-1) with 11 points.
