Dayspring Christian Academy used a strong second quarter to take an 80-44 non-district boys basketball win over Craig County Thursday night in Blacksburg.

Prior to the game, Dayspring Christian Academy  honored senior guard Andrew Lucas for eclipsing the 2000 point mark last season, and coach Dug Hampton for getting his 400th win against Giles Monday night.

The Lions, who led 18-11 after the initial quarter, continued to dominate the rest of the way, as they claimed the lopsided 80-44 win.

Andy McCarty led Craig County with 15 points.

Andrew Lucas paced Dayspring Christian with a game-high 28 points. Zack Morrill and T.J. Wagnon tossed in 11 points each.
