Andrew Lucas and Aaron Vest combined for 49 points in helping pace Pathway Christian to a 65-55 victory over SWVA Home School in boys basketball action Monday night in Roanoke.
The Panthers (19-3, 8-0) raced out to an 11-8 lead after the initial quarter. The Conquerors (13-2, 7-2) would outscore their guests 9-7 in the second quarter to cut their deficit to one at the half, 18-17. Pathway Christian would start to pull away in the third quarter, as they outscored SWVA Home School 21-11, to take a 39-28 lead into the fourth quarter. The Panthers would continue to control the tempo throughout the final quarter, as they claimed the 65-55 victory.
Andrew Lucas led Pathway Christian with 26 points, including four 3-pointers. Aaron Vest tossed in 23 points.
Caleb Akers led SWVA Home School with a game-high 27 points and Tyler Beasley contributed 14 points.
