North Cross opened up district play, by dropping a tough 1-0 road decision to Covenant in boys soccer action Tuesday evening.

Covenant scored an early goal to take a 1-0 lead into the half, as they dominated the first half of play outshooting the Raiders 8-3.

In the second half, North Cross (3-2, 0-1) picked up its play and had a number of scoring opportunities, including a penalty kick, but could not find the back of the net.

Northside hosts Carlisle on Thursday at 5 p.m.
