In the semifinals of the Blue Ridge Conference girls soccer tournament, No. 2 North Cross came way with a 3-1 victory over No. 3 Liberty Christian Thursday afternoon in Roanoke.
The Raiders (17-3, 9-1) got an early goal when Hallie Martin found India Helmer at the top of box who finished passed the diving keeper. Helmer would find her sister, Paxton, with 4:30 to go in the first to give North Cross the 2-0 halftime lead.
Three minutes into the second half, Martin collected a ball around midfield and beat several defenders and buried a rocket in the side netting. Liberty Christian added a goal with ten minutes to go, but the Raiders would hold on for the 3-1 win.
