When Roanoke Valley Christian School hits the soccer field later this month, they will be looking for their eight returning players to provide the leadership, as they look to make another deep run into the state playoffs.

Returning in 2010 for RVCS are seniors Chris Nienke, Daniel Moxley, Philip Watson, and Ben Halsey, juniors Jared Hundley, Jacob Webb, Aaron Overstreet and Adam Anthony.

Newbees to the varsity program are juniors Brian Asbury, Matt Murray, Ethan Law, Issac Lee and Paul Divers, sophomores Jefferson Arrington, Noah Overstreet and William Whitney.

Head coach Steve McBride said the team's strengths were team leadership, balanced scoring with the returnees and overall team chemistry is great, while ball-handling and speed was a weakness.
