Heading into the 2010 season, Roanoke Valley Christian School will be young and inexperience, as they compete in the VICA Southwest.
"We will be very young and inexperienced," said head coach Basil Conner.
Returning to the program this fall are juniors Sarah Anderson, Emily Butler and Abby Johnson.
Newcomers to the varsity program inclide senior Brittney Wright, a transfer from Gateway, who will be a good addition to the team; junior Elizabeth Jones, a first year player, who will make some positive contributions, sophomores Lindsey Barton, Bonnie Powers, Sarah Ullery, Cassie Brimer, along with freshmen Kayla Lackey, Mariah Hughes and Haley Stump.
"We [coaches] are very excited about the upcoming season because of the dedication and drive that this group of young ladies has. They push each other and are very supportive of each other," added Conner.
