Roanoke Valley Christian School held off a furious second half rally in outlasting Roanoke Catholic 41-38 in non-district girls basketball action Monday night in Roanoke.

The Eagles (2-0), who led 27-13 at the half, saw the Celtics (2-2) rally back to pull to within three in the final seconds. However, a missed 3-pointer allowed the Eagles to hang on for the win.

Hope Hasenbeck led RVCA with nine points.

Olivia Clark led Roanoke Catholic with 11 points, including a trio of 3-pointers.
