In the opening round of the Norrhwest Region volleyball tournament, Riverbend claimed a 25-12, 25-21 and 25-22 win over Franklin County Saturday in Rocky Mount.

Ann Taylor Walker led the Eagles (14-12) with 18 digs. Ashley Searing recorded nine kills, seven assists and an ace, while Brittany Jacobs tallied seven kills and three blocks.
