Franklin County used a strong third quarter to turn a tie ball game into a 62-56 non-district girls basketball win over Hidden Valley Tuesday nigtht in Rocky Mount.
The Titans (1-1) and Eagles (2-1) were knotted at 28-all at the half. Franklin County outscored Hidden Valley 15-6 in the third quarter to pull out to a 43-34 advantage. The Eagles continued to hold the upper-hand in the final quarter to claim the exciting victory.
Tyler Evans led Hidden Valley with a game-high 26 points. including four 3-pointers. Gracie Whiteside added 10 points.
Zarkia Mattox led Franklin County with 17 points amd Tish Martin tallied 12 points.
