In a battle of two unbeaten teams, Patrick Henry came away with a 21-10 non-district football win over Pulaski County Friday night in Roanoke.
The Patriots (3-0) took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 1-yard run by Xavier Holland. The Cougars (2-1) responded with a 23-yard field goal by Shane Chrisley with 2:23 on the clock.
After a scoreless second quarter, Antwaun Howard scored from 3-yards out to increase Patrick Henry's advantage to 14-3.
In the fourth quarter, a 2-yard scamper by Marcus McClanahan pulled Pulaski County to within four, 14-10. Patrick Henry closed out the game with an 8-yard run by Xavier Whorley to make the final 21-10.
Pulaski County had 214 yards of total offense, compared to 272 for Patrick Henry.
