Patrick Henry marched out to an early lead and never glanced back in cruising to a 54-32 non-district girl's basketball win over William Byrd Monday night in Roanoke.

The Patriots (3-0) staked out to a 14-2 lead after the opening quarter and increased their advantage to 25-13 at the break. Patrick Henry continued to control the second half, pulling away for the 22-point win.

Kamera Hagins paced William Bryd (2-4) with 12 points.

Jewell Parfitt led Patrick Henry with  16 points and Shakela Salters added 16 points.
