The Western Valley District girls tennis tournament will get underway this afternoon with singles and doubles action starting at 5 p.m. The matches will be contested at Franklin County Park on Sontag Road near Rocky Mount.

William Fleming, who is a member of WVD, has withdrawn from the tournament. School officials stated, "they had a fall off in interest at the end of the season."
