Less than three days on the job, William Fleming's new head football coach, Lee Johnson has announced his staff for the upcoming season.
Johnson, who was the head gridiron boss at North Cross last season, was appointed to the new position by the Roanoke City School Board on Tuesday.
Johnson replaces Rob Senseney, who announced in March, that he had accecpted the head coaching position at Knightdale High School in Wake County, N.C. Senseney, who was the Colonels boss for four seasons and went 30-12.
On Wednesday, Johnson announced his assistant coaches for the upcoming season at William Fleming. They include Don Holter, who was a Colonels' assistant last fall. Also returning from last year's staff are Jermaine Hardy and Frank English. Rodney Dickerson will also return to the staff after taking several years off.
Jimmy Fisher and Greg Meacham, who were assistants at North Cross last season under Johnson, will join their boss at Fleming.
Also joining the Colonels staff will former Lord Botetourt star, Josh Dix.
The school also announced on Wednesday that they would be returning to their old colors of royal blue and and gold.
